Outward Bound

In July 2012, I had the opportunity to go on an Outward Bound course in North Carolina. I was really scared, but I knew I had to do it. So I signed up and started looking all over the internet for anything that had to do with Outward Bound.

I couldn’t find anything.

So when I was done with my course, (which I LOVED), I decided that I had to recap it, for a couple of reasons.

The Crew on top of Table Rock

1 – Because I knew my grandparents were going to want to hear everything.  And there just wasn’t a way to tell them everything. Not without it taking hours and hours!

2 -Because I knew that there were people out there who were looking for information about Outward Bound. People who wanted to know more than the testimonials on the website told them. People who wanted to hear what it was actually like.

3 – Because I wanted to remember. Outward Bound was so amazing and I didn’t want to forget it as time went by. Yes, it was hard. But it was a great experience, and it changed my life.

    Brett-
We love your blog! What a great daily account of what to expect from a NC Outward Bound School Course. If you don’t mind we might link it on our website/Facebook and use it for reference for others who are nervous about going on course. Do you think that would be ok? Just let us know: nfava@ncobs.org. Keep up the great work.
